About Liberty Station Jiu Jitsu
Our Purpose, Our Promise
“To create an environment that fosters self-actualization, intellectual and artistic curiosity, and a strong character through martial arts. Armed with a sense of community and belonging, members will break beyond perceived limits to find stillness in uncertainty. Calm in chaos.
As a team, we serve ourselves by serving others and building a culture of excellence, learning, and humility that is unafraid to take risks in an attempt to find true knowledge. We strive to be better than yesterday, and we challenge our notion of ourselves every day. Teammates encourage one another to step into discomfort and find the mental balance needed to problem-solve creatively. We know perfection is impossible, but we continually strive for the impossible.”

Rooted in History, Forged on the Mats
Located in Building 176 (The Dorothea Laub Music & Arts Center) within San Diego’s vibrant Arts District at Liberty Station, Liberty Station Jiu Jitsu occupies a space with a powerful past. Long before it became a creative and cultural hub, this historic campus served as the U.S. Naval Training Center - a legendary grounds where generations of service members built discipline, resilience, and character.
Today, we proudly honor that legacy on our studio floor. Situated among the historic Spanish-revival architecture and artistic community of the Arts District, our studio provides Jiu-Jitsu instruction designed to spark intellectual curiosity and self-actualization. Step into our dojo to challenge your notion of yourself, break beyond perceived limits, and find calm in chaos alongside a team dedicated to excellence, learning, and humility.
